Salary: $25/hour - $35/hour dependent on experience

The LTR Specialist is responsible for the successful application of long-term fire retardants. Ensuring each job is completed accurately/up to standards and maintaining a clean job site. Ensure all jobs are fully completed and left clean before leaving the job. Working on job sites you must be OSHA compliant and practice excellent communication with your crew lead on the safety and quality of the job. You will be expected to practice professionalism while communicating with all customers and team members. Complete evaluations of residential and commercial properties as needed. Deploy on Rapid Response teams to customers properties ahead of a wildfire in a support capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Apply long-term fire retardants on commercial and residential properties.
  • Loads and unloads equipment and products.
  • Batch mix product.
  • Clean mixing area and trucks.
  • Keep equipment in good working order.
  • Develops and maintains logs and records of job, time spent, tools and equipment used
  • Follows company and industry safety guidelines and regulations
  • Ensure proper application of all products.
  • Leave each job site clean.
  • Escalate any issues to your crew lead
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to use fire pumps and complete hose lay operations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent customer service and ability to work well with others.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods standing, bending, lift, squatting
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and outdoors
  • Ability to be on your feet fall day, walking on uneven terrain
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Education and Experience

  • • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Related experience preferred
    • Entry level fire classes and certifications desired
