Apply For This Job: Fire Prevention Field Manager

We are looking for a Full-Time Fire Prevention Field Manager to lead and manage multiple crews and assist in applying long-term fire retardant on customers’ properties and responding to customers ahead of wildland fires for our Rapid Response program. Track inventory levels, equipment and fleet maintenance, fire retardant mixing operations. Both departments will require: Supervising employees, ensuring safety standards are met and quality control will be a part of the daily responsibilities.

This position will require traveling to jobs throughout the Bay Area, East Bay, South Bay, North Bay, Santa Rosa, and Napa/Sonoma Valley and other areas as needed. During the off-season, you will be expected to assist in next year’s planning, keeping equipment in good working order, and have the opportunity to help grow the business. Coming into a new season you will be an integral part of the hiring process for the
seasonal crews.

Relevant experience or a combination of experience that will apply to this position would be: management experience, leadership abilities, pump, and hose lay operations, small engines, wildfire defensible space, and fire behavior knowledge is a plus, not opposed to working longer hours.

Year-round position. You will maintain a regular salary during the off-season with potential reduced hours.
Starting Salary: Range-based on experience: $75,000-$95,000 with benefits!

Full-time schedule will generally be 40 hours per week, 08:00-17:00 hours, Monday
through Friday. Hours worked per week may increase or decrease based on travel needs, business goals, fire activity, and the need to manage annual work hours.

Full Time / 12 month position with variable time off in offseason to offset peak duty requirements.

The Position:

Fire Prevention Field Manager

Requirements:

● 5 years of management experience minimum
● NFPA 1051: Wildland Fire Fighter 1 cert.
● Introduction to ICS (ICS-100)
● Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service (L-180)
● Firefighter Training (S-130 – Field Day Required)
● Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior (S-190)
● NIMS: An Introducton (IS-700)
● Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher (WFSTAR) (RT-130)
● Must be 21 years or older
● 5 years of Wildland fire fighting, crew management, risk management, and safety experience is required.
● Relevant Equipment experience
● Computer skills, preferably knowledge of iPad, email, Microsoft Suite, and Google Calendar.
● Communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work well with a team are a must.
● First aid certification, we will assist in obtaining this if not already certified, and is required to be kept up to date.
